THE cost of running oil-engined buses was 4d. or 5d. a mile cheaper than operating trolleybuses, Grimsby and Clecthorpes Joint Transport Committee were told last week by Mr. I. Rostron, general manager. The chairman, ClIte J. P. Murphy, said the present transport system of oilers and trolleybuses would remain for a number of years, "Discussing the sale value of trolleybuses, Mr. Rostron said theirs had previously sold for only £80 scrap value, but other undertakings had received up to £1,000 for working vehicles. •
Mr. Rostron said January's revenue of 28,84d. per mile was just under Id. a mile less than for January last year.
