Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DIGGER sales and increased efficiency, LI leading to lower production costs, have enabled the prices of Commer and Karrier vehicles to be reduced, although the costs of materials are rising. As from yesterday, typical reductions in prices are as follows: Commer 12-ton forward-control oil-engined tractor, £46; 7-ton forward-control oil-engined chassis and cab, £40; Superpoise-P6 3-4-ton chassis, £31; 11-ton van, £12; Karrier Gamecock 3-ton oil-engined chassis and cab, £40. Output at the Luton and Dunstable factories is being stepped up in anticipation of a greater volume of orders. The price reductions do not entail any change in specification.

BIG ALBION TIPPER CHASSIS

ATIPPER chassis based on the Caledonian model has been introduced by Albion Motors, Ltd. With a mean wheelbase of 14 ft. 9 in., it is suitable for a body measuring 17 ft. 9 in. long by 7 ft. 6 in. wide internally. A 151-ton payload may be carried. The new chassis differs from the normal in having full continuous flitch plates, a 42-gal. fuel tank, a centrally mounted spare wheel and batteries disposed behind the cab.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE MAPS

ANYONE seeking an A licence in the Northern Area will in future be expected to produce maps showing four or five miles to the inch. This was announced last week by Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon, Northern Licensing Authority, who said the measure was being taken to help his staff.

He stipulated that any specific places mentioned in evidence within a 50-mile or so radius must be marked on the maps.

The committee meet two or three times a year.
