Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN installation designed to test the waterproof properties of bodywork, but can also be used as a vehicle washing plant, has been erected at the Hendon factory of Duple Motor Bodies, Ltd., London, N.W.9. The equipment comprises a framework of pipes some 400 ft. long, supported by structural members.

Water is discharged through about 500 holes of 3132-in, diameter spaced along the pipes, and is circulated by a Girdlestone 10 h.p. electric pump with an output of 225 g.p.m. at a head of 60 ft. The sump has a capacity of 350 gallons, and has filtering screens, Vehicles are driven into the framework, which is large enough to accept the biggest buses normally produced for the export market, and the deluge obtained is sufficient to permit inspectors within the vehicle to check joints and seals for leaks.

As a vehicle washing plant, the installation will be provided with a pump of lower capacity but higher pressure. It will be used to wash down works vehicles.
