Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

two chambers with an oxidation catalyst followed by a ceramic wall flow filter. The platinum oxidation catalyst is the part that removes the majority of the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon from the exhaust gas. Particulate matter (PM10) is then trapped by the second chamber.

Eminox Fuel Rome Catalyst As the name suggests it uses a catalyst that is added to the fuel of the vehicle, reducing the need for a catalyst section in the exhaust itself. The filter is a silicon carbide filter designed to trap particulate matter and ultra-fine particles.

The additive used in this system is called Satacen 3: it is stored in a separate tank on the vehicle, from where it is added directly into the system.

Eminox claims the additive is used up at a rate of one litre per 2,200 litres of diesel.

Eminox SCRT system The SCRT system allows Euro-1, 2 and 3 trucks to meet Euro-4 and 5 emissions levels. It combines the CRT technology with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to remove particulate matter, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide and reduce nitrogen oxides. Like any SCR system it needs AdBiue.

The system is supplied in close coupled in-line configurations for any applications lacking space for a regular SCR system.

GAT EuroFiller

Similar to Erninox's CRT, the GAT EuroFilter oxidises the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon in its sponge capillaries. Soot is then burnt oft by the NO2 (producedthrough the catalytic coating) and the heat production.
