The Community Drivers' Hours (Foot and Mouth Disease) (Temporary Exception) (No2) Regulations 2001. CIF 5 April 2001. Extend the existing exception from the hours rules to 3 June unless they are revoked sooner. The relaxation now includes movement of plant and machinery being used to move or bury carcasses and amends the weekly rest requirements.
The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (No3) Regulations 2001. CIF 5 April 2001. Remove the existing limitations to certain drivers suffering from diabetes. Licences may be granted depending on the applicant's medical condition.
The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (NO2) Regulations 2001. CIF 1February 2001. Amend Regulation 43 of the 1999 regulations, prohibiting holders of Category A (motor cycle) licences from sub-category B1 vehicles (three or four-wheeled vehdes not excluding 550kg ULW) unless they passed the test before 1February 2001.
The Road Vehicles lighting (Amendment) Regulations 2001.
CIF 21March 2001. Allows the display of blue, yellow or white metro-reflective colours on the rear of a vehicle as part of the distinguishing sign of the UK.
The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No1 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2000. CIF throughout 2001. this order introduces the first element of last year's Transport Act, which concerns concessionary travel in and outside Greater London.
The Vehicle Excise Duty (Reduced Pollution) (Amendment) Regulations 2000.
CIF 5 January 2001. Amend the level of particulate emissions a vehicle must meet in order to obtain an RPC-0.08g/kWh now becomes the Euro-4 standard 0.03.

drafting of the 2000 regulations (512000/3224).
The Motor Vehicle (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF 1February 2001. Introduce a variety of amendments to motor cycle licence requirements, training courses and provisional licences.
The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No 3) Order 2001. CIF 1 February 2001. Introduces Part 5 of the Act, which concerns driver training, operator licensing, drivers' hours enforcement, vehicle Type Approval and more.
The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. CIF 21March 2001 and 1 September 2001. Make new provisions for the fixing and lighting of registration plates and, for the font, spacing and layout of registration marks.
The Goods Vehicles (Plating and Testing) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF 1 March 2001. Issued in conjunction with the regulation above; exclude from the 1988 plating and testing regulations certain vehicles which operate between 3,500-5,000kg.
The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No2) Regulations 2001. CIF 1 October 2001. Amend Cal rags in respect of seat-belts and anchorage points following EU Directives 96/36/EC, 96/38/EC and 2000/3/EC. Also introduces some amendments. The Vehicle Excise Duty (Immobilisation, Removal and Disposal of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF 9 April 2001. Allow for increases in the charges payable for the removal, storage and release of impounded vehicles. The existing prescribed charges have been raised by about 20%.
The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF1 March 2001. Further amend the 1986 regulations with regard to information on the vehicle plate for vehicles from 3,500-5,000kg GVW.
The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No5) Order 2001. CIF 1 April 2001. Brings into effect all remaining provisions of the Transport Act 2000 (Part 1) with the exception of some air traffic services regulations.
The Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2001.
CIF 28 May 2001. Amend the fees payable for the issue of vehicle test certificates and vehicle examinations, including "designated premises" and "ot of hours" charges.
The Goods Vehicles (Plating and Testing) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF 28 May 2001. Increase the fees paya for first examination, period test or re-test of vehicles an trailers. The fee for a two-ax vehicle rises from 237 to 23; the fee for a three-axle vehit rises from 238.50 to .240.
The International Transport ( Goods Under Cower of TIR Carnets (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2001. CIF 1 June 2001. Increase the fees for vehicle inspections in connection with the grant of TIR design Type Approval am for the issue of approval certificates. The basic fee fir design Type Approval rises from 268 to 270.
