• Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd. announced last week that Overseas Containers Ltd. has placed further orders for semi-trailers and containers in excess of Lim.
The order is for 350 specialized container-carrying semi-trailers from the Crane Fruehauf/Boden group, with an option for a further 150.
In addition, an option has been placed by OCL for a further 1,000 Crane Fruehauf 2011 containers. This follows the Group's recent world record single order for 5,000 containers from OCL worth over Dm. and raises the total orders placed by OCL with Crane Fruehauf to 6,000 containers.
These containers are for use on the United Kingdom—Australia—United Kingdom run due to start next February and for which OCL's new 27,000-ton ship Europa Bay was launched from Hamburg on Wednesday.
Following the acquisition of Boden Trailers Ltd., Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd. recently announced that it is doubling up container production facilities at its North Walsham plant, and that the Oldham plant will be capable of producing over 120 semi-trailers a week.
