has ordered 18 more Reliance single-deck buses for service in Londonderry, following the successful operation of 12 similar vehicles. All 30 will have AI-I 470 engines, ' five-speed synchromesh gearboxes and power-assisted steering to minimize the difficulties of driving in the city's narrow, twisting streets. Also going into service are 40 Reliance single-deckers fitted with U.T.A. bodies suitable for bus or coach duties.
TIPPERS FOR GLOUCESTERSHIRE CONCERN: R. and W. Febry of Chipping Sodbury, Glos., has ordered six more A.E.C. eight-wheelers to be used as end-tipping tankers and tipping vehicles.
S.L.D. DO WELL: During the' past month Scottish Land Development has received orders for A.E.C. 10-cu.-yd. Dumptruks worth f288,000, The latest is one valued at £72,000 placed by Raynesway Plant Co. Ltd. for Dumptroks to be used on the Oxford by-pass. Another order worth 00,000 has been placed by John Mowlern and Marples Ridgway. EXPRESS COACHES FOR PERU: Two Peruvian coach operators—Cruz de Chalpon and Expresso Nordanino—have each ordered six A.E.C. Regal Mark VI chassis through Peruvian Autos LIda„ the A.E.C. distributors in Lima. The orders specify AN 690 200 b.h.p. (S.A.E. rating) engines and sixspeed overdrive gearboxes. They will be fitted with 49-seat coach bodies by Jonckheere of Belgium. Of the seats, 44 will be of the fully reclining type to accommodate passengers on overnight express services between Lima arid Piura in north Peru.
C.W.S. CHOOSE A.E.C.: Twelve more A.E.C. tankers have been ordered by the Co-operative Wholesale Society's Milk Dept. to join the existing fleet of nearly 100 A.E.C. tankers employed on the bulk collection of milk. Six of the vehicles will be Mercury four-wheelers with 1,800-gal. tanks, and the remainder Mammoth Major eightwheelers with 3,300-gal. tanks.
