LLARGEST application notified this week is in the North West area, where Walsh Transport (Bolton) Ltd. has requested a variation of their B licence by the addition of 12 tippers to carry solid fuel and roadmaking and building materials within an 80 miles radius. The vehicles are currently operating under contract A licence.
Two 10-vehicle applications appearone in the Yorkshire and one in the Metropolitan area. Bradford hauliers R. Dennison and Sons Ltd. asks to add 10 vehicles totalling 48 tons, plus a 7I-ton articulated vehicle. No user is given but the application is annotated to the effect that, if granted, contract A vehicles operating for S. Greenwood Ltd. will be surrendered. L. A. and A. Pinch Ltd., of Elm Park, Essex, seeks to vary a B licence by the addition of 10 tippers. The conditions required are building and roadmaking plant material and rubbish (excluding cement and bricks) over a limited radius.
