THE Council of the Institute of Trans' port announces that the B.E.T. Road Passenger Transport Award, hitherto available for award once in three years, is to be available annually in future and that the award may be for a paper which has been presented at a meeting of the Institute, or for a thesis accepted in lieu of the Institute examinations, or for a paper presented at a meeting of another organization, as well as for, a paper written especially for the award.
The award comprises the sum of 100 guineas offered.annually for a paper by a member or non-member of the Institute, which, in the opinion of the Council of the Institute, makes a contribution of merit to the study of the science and art of road passenger' transport operation or administration.
. Entries should be submitted to the Secretary, The Institute of Transport, 80 Portland Place, London, W.I. They-may be submitted' at any time but the closing date for consideration for the award in any year will be April 30.. The first award will be available in 1964.
