TT may be possible during the next I few months for the Minister of Transport to announce a new road programme for the four years from March, 1959, when the current plan expires. This was stated last week by Mr. G. R. H. Nugent, Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport.
This year some £66m. of new roads works were being started.
