Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE North-Western (Western) Area Committee of the Road Haulage Association has appointed Mr, Thomas S. Jacks as area secretary to-succeed. Mr. E. A. Whitehead. who has decided to return to practice as a solicitor Mr. Whitehead will operate the legal defence scheme from his former address, 5, Rumford Place, Liverpool.

The scheme is similar to that which existed before the war for the benefit of membefs of Associated Road Operators. It provides for (a) advice of the solicitor in any matter arising under the 1933 or 1947 Acts, and the regulations issued under them. (b) legal representation in police courts in connection with summonses under these Acts and regulations, and (c) legal representation at inquiries.

Mr. Jacks is secretary of the Liverpool Cart and Motor Owners' Association, and his office at 20. Chapel Street, Liverpool. 3, is the R.H.A. area office.

OBITUARY

'WE regret to announce that MR. YY J. H. LEAVER, 11/41.1.R.T.E., works manager of Oswald Tillotson. Ltd._ died on December 26, at the age of 42.
