TEN appointments involving changes in organization were announced on Tuesday by the London Transport Executive. Mr. F. H. Spratling, treasurer, has become staff administration officer, and Mr. H. S. Chapman, assistant secretary, has succeeded him as treasurer.
Mr. F. A. A. Menzler, chief development and research officer, assumes administrative responsibility for the Central Laboratory and the three generating station laboratories. As superintendent, Mr. A. T. Wilford, previously chief chemist, will be respoosible for the immediate technical direction of all laboratories.
Mr. A. G. Evershed, acting audit aflker, has become audit officer, and Mr. T.. J. Stammers, divisional engineer "C" (rolling stock—buses and coaches), has been appointed an officer of the Executive, Mr. G. P. Barnett, superintendent of recruitment and training, has been appointed recruitment, training and education officer. He will be aided by Mr. K. R. Thomas, M.B.E., Who has been appointed a principal executive assistant.
Mr. H. W. Aldridge has been made a principal executive assistant, and will act as deputy to the treasurer, and Mr. I. R. Garwood has become divisional superintendent (south—t rams and t rolleybuses).
