HE LABOUR MP for Workingan, who studied at the Sorlonne and has taken on the bold hairman of the British Steel ;orporation Ian MacGregor, lave up a fortnight of his holiday o investigate a complaint by a prig-distance lorry driver of iribery on the Italian border. Unortunately, he fell ill and was inable to complete his inquiry. This zeal is typical of 38-yearId Dale Campbell-Savours, who vas brought up a Tory and, says lohn Fryer, writing in The Sunlay Times, was converted to ;ocialism when he was flitting rom job to job as a waiter, lewspaper seller and labourer. Now the House of Commons Committee of Privileges is investigating his allegation that Ian MacGregor tried to gag him.
No cause is too large or too small for the dedicated MP for Workington. I am waiting for someone to produce the Great Tachograph Scandal for him to expose.
