Aberdeen lorry drivers have been helping a local school undertaking water purification research. A Charles Alexander vehicle appeared on a recent BBC Young Scientist of the Year programme, when the driver produced four lemonade bottles full of water from an English town.
It must be quite an experience fora Scotsman to take English or Welsh water back over the Border. The "peaty" liquid that is said to form a prime ingredient of Scotch would perhaps not rank as pure, or would it?
