Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS recorded briefly two weeks ago, the 1964 edition of the C-licence Year Book published by the Traders Road TranspOrt Association is now being issued free to members, with extra copies available at 10s. 6d. post free.

The original edition, published last year, was warmly received everywhereand with good reason. But so quickly do things change that in a foreword to the 1964 edition the president, Mr. K. C. Turner, warns that the earlier volume is now out of date and should be discarded. Not only does the new book bring up to date the sections on regulations, traffic offences, driving licences. wages and Continental transport; it also includes new sections dealing with licence endorsement

and disqualification, the new-style road signs due to appear this year, and a summary of the new legislation which is soon likely to go on the statute book.

The contents range over the whole field of C-licence operation and vehicle maintenance, the legal and Continentaloperating sections in particular providing an exceptionally clear guide. From customs procedure to lorry driver competitions, from road transport education to vehicle security, and from what sort of vehicle to choose to what a Ministry examiner looks for, the book provides a really practical 148-page guide to virtually all aspects of operation; and this year there is even a fault-finding chart for

excessive exhaust smoke. H.B.C.
