LE BOURGET airport authorities have LA announced that its frozen store—said to be the first at a European airport— will open in July.

Erection has just started on the building, which will be an important link in the chain between road and air operators, using Le Bourget. Users are expected to include meat, fruit, vegetable and butter firmsin Holland and Belgium, as well as firms sending fresh vegetables and so on to African destinations.

The frozen store will also be part of France's first International Haulage Centre. This received 23,000 vehicles— lorries and trailers—in 1963 and handled 217,000 tons of goods. The centre covers about .6,000 sq. yd., of which some 2,400 sq. yd. are roofed. A new 1,000-sq.-yd. ,extension will be ready in the near future.
