PROHIRE AND CLIPPER Group Holdings have made it into this year's Sunday 'Hines Fast Track 100, which lists the 100 fastest-growing private companies in the UK. Staffordshire-based leasing company Prohire reached 97th place with a £12.2m turnover and year-to-date pre-tax profit of £939,000. CEO Colin Walton says: "The good position we are in is due to a strong all-round performance. Our customers have grown and we've grown with them."

Prohire, founded in 1997. made the list in 2005 in 99th position: since then it has boosted sales hy 63%, pushing it up two places.

Trailing Prohire in 98th place is logistics company Clipper Group Holdings. Clipper recorded a £45m turnover and a 63% growth in sales: its customers include Woolworths,Adidas and Pradn.
