SCOTTISH HAULIER Scotflow is continuing to trade while hoping to find a buyer after its parent company was placed into administration.

Scotflow is a subsidiary of Curtis Fine Paper, which called in administrator KPMG on 24 July. This means Scofflow is also in administration, butTrevorSpowart, Scotflow director, says: "We're continuing to operate at the request of the administrator, and we hope to find a buyer.

"We have a long history in both the haulage side and a commercial workshop business, and have always been profitable. We're now looking at every possible option.

Spowart adds that in the short term, the haulier, which runs 12 artics. is attempting to secure its position with existing customers and suppliers. However, he admits that almost all of Scofflow's outgoing work was "to support the parent firm".

Five of Scott'low's 24 staff have been made redundant by Blair Nimmo from KPMG.

Spowart adds: "We're working to see which bits of the business are viable and should continue to operate, and what the best way is f, to continue operating them."
