Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Solid, dependable, and reliable just the way we like our long-termers to be.

Price: E16,155 Engine: 2.5-Dtre 128hp Payload: 1,202kg Mileage: 9,712 Expenses: None Faults: None Average mpg:38 0

You may not be surprised to hear that the CM'S long-term Transporter has continued its journey with a complete lack of event or fanfare.

Well, we say that, because you get so used to living with (and relying on) this van, that you expect it to operate with ruthless efficiency day in, day out — which it does.

You get in and close the door to the same solid thunk that was there yesterday, and the day before, and so on.

You start the engine, which, of course, starts first time, as it did yesterday etc.

You also get the same action from the suspension that you did 1,000 miles previously, because it's designed that way, and, therefore, you know what to expect when driving it and how the brakes will react to a certain amount of pressure.

And, as dull as this sounds, and as much as it leaves us struggling to comment in any discernable style, we wouldn't have it any other way.

We also have a high regard for the interior, which is spacious and light and practical, allowing you to shut that chunk of door and relax... to a point.

Because we'll say it one more time. That engine needs a good talking to in regards to the manners department. Don't get us wrong, it's OK arid delivers plenty of power, but it's a weak spot in this well-engineered package. •
