Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Belgian tyre manufacturer Bandag will be making a major push into the UK tyre market next month, launching two ranges of retreaded WV tyres.

The BCR range of haulage tyres and the MetroMax range of urban delivery tyres are new designs; Bandag calls them "Originals".

The BCR range is a lowrolling-resistance design which is said to offer fuel savings of up to 4%. It is available in drive and wide-single fittings, with a rib design for trailers due in a few months.

The MetroMax range, for vans and light trucks, is optimised for tyre life and claimed to last 30% longer than existing Bandag retreads. Bandag also claims substantially more grip in wet or wintry conditions. Drive and all-round designs are available.
