• Yorkshire Environmental's medical waste operation White Rose is reviewing its transport operations following its £250,000 acquisition last week of Clinical Waste.
The likely outcome is a phased reduction of vehicles through the greater use of double-shifting but an increase in the number of drivers employed, according to regional manager Mel Lothian.
White Rose is taking on a near-full complement of Clinical Waste drivers. The company also inherits established operations in Scotland and the SouthEast of England, plus a mixed fleet of 21 vans and trucks.
