KEN MALLINSON and Sons has been granted authority for 20 vehicles and 25 trailers at the Asda cross-dock DC in Adwick-Le-Street, Doncaster.
A condition has been attached to the licence that requires the authorised vehicles not to pass through the gates onto Longlands Lane, except in case of an emergency. If this happens, the incident will be reported to the TC’s ofice within seven days, with an explanation.
The company is also looking to decrease authorisation at its existing operating centre at the Naylor Industries facility in Cawthorne, Barnsley to eight vehicles and 40 trailers.
In February, at the Asda National Carrier of the Year Awards, Ken Mallinson and Sons beat Dee Set and NFT to be named Asda secondary carrier of the year.
