Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The West Vlidlands van maker brings its panel vans and new crew-cabs under its Maxus banner, along with a popular long wheelbase model.

NOT SURPRISINGLY, the local van maker was prominent at the show. While news of ever deepening problems across town at MG Rover was a hot talking point. LDV was exhibiting its new Maxus for the first time in a public arena. Alongside the panel vans (see roadtest, page 48) were a line-up of new crew-cabs; the long-wheelbase version features a fixed tabletop ahead of the second row of seats.

This all-important new model is being well received by operators: marketing director Steve Miller was able to announce five fleet deals, totalling 600 vans with a showroom value of £10m. Of these 200 are for Opti-Rent with 150 for TLS and Global Self Drive, Hertz franchisee AutoTravel and Europcar account for the rest. Royal Mai l, an established LDV operator, is evaluating the Maxus; in the meantime it has bought another 200 Pilots and Convoys.
