Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RENAULT UK's plans to increase its 1984 market share in the medium and light van sector have been boosted by large fleet orders.

Spafax, the motor factor company, has ordered 400 Trafic T1200D diesels powered by the 2,068cc 44kW(60bhp) engine for its van sales fleet, for delivery over the next four years. A further 300 T1200D Trafics will also be supplied to Spafax in France, Belgium and West Germany.

Mastercare, the transport subsidiary of Currys Group Services, has also placed a 100vehicle order for T800 1,400cc petrol-engined Trafics, and T35 long wheelbase Masters powered by the 1995cc petrol engine and fitted with glass reinforced plastic high roof. This order follows the successful operation of 50 Renault vans bought last year.

Renault will also supply Trafic and Master vans to Temeside Self Drive which already operates 50 Renaults, and to earthmoving equipment manufacturer Poclain.

Sales of the long-serving Renault 4F6 van are going "surprisingly well", although demand from big fleets for this utilitarian van is small. Renault 4 van operators include the Trustee Savings Bank, and Cementation. Last year Renault sold 1,323 units.

Demand for Trafic and Master demonstration vehicles is very high, according to Renault which says there is a greater acceptance of front-wheel-drive vans, which offer lower platform loading heights.

Last year, Renault sold 5,052 Trafics and Masters and took 4.3 per cent of the market. It hopes to sell 7,500 units giving it a total market share of between six and seven per cent in the medium van sector.
