Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Air pump for tough tasks

THE GLUTTON air-powered pump manufactured by Graco UK of Wolverhampton is designed to handle tough, abrasive and sensitive materials with a low maintenance requirements.

The horizontally acting dual plunger-pistoned type pump provides up to eight times the life of more conventional units. Typically a piston seal fails with 0.005in wear but the Glutton seal is said to withstand up to 0.040in user before losing efficiency.

Within the fluid chamber there are only two moving parts — the piston and the ball check. The single piston seal is static and wipes the piston clean eliminating material build up and so reducing abrasion.

Each return stroke the piston is drawn clear of the seal drawing fluid into the pumping chamber. On the pressure stroke the piston forces the fluid through a ball check valve into the outlet compartment.

Many adhesives and paints are moisture and heat sensitive. The Glutton's closed-design controls moisture contamination and runs cool. Sand-filled cementation materials normally destroy pumps but the Glutton is built to withstand these extreme abrasions.
