Designated the Mark II Lorry Loader, he unit iss a compact, hydraulically .perated crane with an articulating jib. esigned for installation on standard ommercial vehicles.

The articulating action of the pressedtee jib is operated by a double-acting ydraulic ram, and an additional manual :lescopic extension provides for a laximum operating radius of 11 ft. 2 in. At this radius, maximum lifting capacity of the crane is 7 cwt., although at a radius of 5 ft. 5 in., the capacity is one ton.

A space of up to 1 ft. 5 in. is required between the body and cab, to mount the unit. Power is provided by a hydraulic pump, fitted to the power take-off of the vehicle's gearbox and operation is controlled by three levers located at the side of the unit. A hydraulic support leg is provided to relieve the chassis and springs of the vehicle from stress when handling the heavier loads. A long or short crane pillar can be provided.
