Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS CM WENT to press, Robert Halfon, MP for Harlow and founder of the PetrolPromise campaign, received backing from the Common’s backbench committee of MPs for a full parliamentary debate on fuel prices. This will take place on 13 September. Halfon, an early FairFuelUK backer, was pushing for a debate to put pressure on the Office of Fair Trading to launch an investigation into the UK fuel market. Last month the campaign signed up its 70th MP in support of Halfon’s motion, which called for a government inquiry into allegations of oil fraud and market manipulation.

The Conservative MP will also present a 19-page dossier entitled It’s Oil Right For Some to the new transport secretary, Patrick McLoughlin, later this month. According to Halfon, this provides evidence of the manipulation of fuel prices – including evidence from an oil trader turned whistleblower.
