Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

world renown. It builds 25 units a week and has just won its second Queen's Awards for Export. It is also one of the few firms in its field still running its own transport operation.

"Having sold a million pounds worth of crusher to someone we don't want them let down on delivery by some subcontractor, so

we do it ourselves," says logistics manager Lee Gum ley.

Extec recently bought a batch of 18month-old Mercedes 26.580 6x4 tractor units from a specialist heavy haulage dealer in Germany, and for the enhanced manoeuvrability needed in city centres it chose one of King Trailers' latest multi-axled designs, the MTSE 78/5 centre-spine step-frame trailer. Its 10.12m load deck is 1.0m high when laden; with a beavertail the deck extends to 11.35m. Its overall dimensions are 15.43x2.75m with 44mm hardwood for the deck and neck flooring. The outer deck bays, beavertail and ramps have a heavy-duty steel underlay.

Outriggers

The low-loader is fitted with double folding 4x1m Mantis ramps with a hydraulic side-slide capability and a dozen sets of sliding outriggers which accommodate 70mm timbers for over-width operation. Power steering operates on the rear four axles which also have a remote manual override, and there's a lifting front axle to reduce tyre wear when running unladen.

An automatic lubrication system reduces maintenance and extends service Life: grip bars are fitted on the outer edge of the ramps to assist traction. The beavertail is made of heavy-duty Durbar, and Extec spec lied an aluminium top box on the neck for tool and equipment storage.
