Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I WOULD just like to make a few points on the regular articles that are in Commercial Motor on the Alconbury truckstop, If the closure of this truckstop was to take place then in theory drivers are losing only the parking and diesel facilities.

Having experienced the prices, cooking and cleanliness a number of times at Alconbury, I believe these are issues that leave a lot to be desired.

I am aware that drivers do not want the insecurity of parking in lay-bys on the side of the road, and the general public will not want to experience the odours that some lay-bys have, but it leaves you to wonder that the lay-bys are possibly cleaner than the toilet facilities at some truckstops.

Alconbury is not on its own, there are many truckstops up and down the country. These should also be looked at for their quality levels of food and cleanliness. Whatever drivers pay to park, whether it is £.5 or f25, surely they should be able to have a respectable standard of facilities.

I, along with many other drivers, believe that British industry deserves far better facilities and hospitality when they park up for their rest breaks. After speaking to our foreign friends on a number of occasions they see Our parking charges and facilities as a joke.
