• Bob Kennard has been appointed general manager for Allen Diagnostic Equipment (UK), responsible for the company's operations and overseeing its move into local production of the Allen Smart Engine Analyser.
1111 TNT Ovemite's new divisional general manager is Chris Atkinson who has been with the express parcels carrier for six years.
The company also has a new national sales manager. Geoff Can., overseeing a 150-strong sales force. This is also an in-company promotion.
• BRS Northern's new branch at Grimsby is to be managed by Ken Andrews, who previously worked in Grimsby for fellow NFC company Cartransport Ltd on its Volvo car delivery contract.
• Malton Hyundai dealer Peter Chapman has moved to Dacia Concessionaires of Westbur, Wilts, as its sales and service manager (Northern Region).
• Freight forwarder Baxter Hoare has appointed David Norbury (exThomas Meadows) as its sales director, and David Boyle as personnel director.
• Pickfords Removals has promoted Tom Keys to manage its Aberdeen branch. He has recently been a relief manager at a number of the NFC company's Scottish branches.
• A new sales team has been announced for Besco Bodies of Northampton. Mike Brown is now the marketing manager responsible for the full range of Besco products including dry freight, Eurowall, Beskimo reefer bodies, plus specials. Assisting him as area sales manager is Roy Leake.
