• A new "Hail and Ride" service of Whippet 16seater Ford Transit minibuses has been launched by Alder Valley South in Aldershot, operating at tenminute intervals, on a route from the Wellington Centre in Victoria Road to Brookfield Road, North Town.
• The London Borough of Enfield has taken delivery of a 12-seat MercedesBenz 3071) minibus converted by Reeve Burgess of Chesterfield.
The minibus was funded by the now defunct GLC, and is equipped with a Henderson-Linwell 300kg wheelchair lift.
• Kirkby Central Group. the Sheffield-based bus and coach dealer. has been awarded the latest 2.5 million contract to replace older coaches from the Smiths Shearing Holiday subsidiaries of the Pleasurama Group.
