Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Extra coach parking sites have now been made available in and around central London, following publication of the Department of Transport's consultative document on tourist coaches in London.

The sites include on-street spaces on the Embankment, Park Lane and Tothill Street, as well as a new coach park at Hermitage River Side in Wapping High Street.

Additional spaces have also been made available at Covent Garden market at Nine Elms; at various LRT bus garages and stands in central London; and at Queenstown Road, Battersea.

Extra coach spaces now exist on the north side of the Mall, and some setting-down sites on the south side could become available if there is sufficient demand, according to the DTp.

A drive-through route for the Mall and Constitution Hill is also being provided by the Department of the Environment. The DTp wants coach operators to make the most of the new parking sites and has asked the Metropolitan Police to crack down on coaches "which continue to park illegally".

It also wants the Police to "pay special attention to cars parking in coach spaces".

Coachcards for the Westminster on-street parking scheme can be purchased from the London Visitor and Convention Bureau, and the Metropolitan Police will continue to operate its Coach Advisory Service for coach and tour operators.
