at a cost of more than 210 million, for its short-term rental fleet and contract hire business.
This investment is in addition to the $30 million already spent over the past 18
months, according to TIPEurope chief executive, Jim Cleary.
The new units will be available from TIP's 40 branches throughout Europe. They include refrigerated trailers built to the latest maximum internal and external dimensions with widths of 2.58m, allowing easier loading of UK Imperial and European metric pallets.
Other new trailers are tandem and tri-axle curtain-siders, van trailers.
Each of the 27 types of trailer in TIP's rental fleet can be hired for periods of one day upwards, while custombuilt trailers can be taken on contract hire over one or more years.
