CENTAUR ELECTRONICS of Oldham have produced what they claim is the first lorry wash to offer total electronic security and operate without any supervisory staff.
Based upon the principles of the Fuelsafe fuel monitoring systems, the new device. Truck-Wash, is being operated by Norco Transport Limited of Birkenhead.
Norco uses the Centaur Truck-Wash for its fleet of 19 tanker-trailers and 14 tractive units.
Customers are issued with electronically coded keys on the basis of one key per driver, and as Truck-Wash is entirely automatic, contract customers can use it at any time They are invoiced at regular intervals according to individual usage which is then computed by the Centaur system.
