Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A RANGE of plugs and sockets for trailer lighting connections has been introduced by Cannon Electric (G..B.) Ltd. The connectors have been designed to meet the performance requirements covering applications to military vehicles. Standard inserts have 12 contacts but a variety of arrangements including 9-pin arc available. The connectors do not conform to S.M.M.T. standards although it is planned that components to these standards and to any European standards which may be introduced will eventually be produced.

Makers: 'Cannon Electric (Gil.) Ltd., 168-172 Old Street, London, E.C.1.
