asked the Scottish Licensing Authority for a B licence for nine vehicles of 40+ tons to carry dry chips and bitumen macadam over a radius of 50 miles from Blackridge. Mr. Thomas Calder, manager of the Blairhall Quarry, Blackr:dge, amended the application to read: " on behalf of Limmer and Trinidad Lake Asphalt Company Ltd.", and to restrict traffic to Blairhall Quarry. Scottish Whinstone had carried !Ammer traffic until stopped, believing themselves entitled to do so. They now knew this to be in breach of licence conditions and wished to regularize the position.
Mr. W. F. Quin, the Licensing Authority, said there was a case for the 13 objectors to answer but nine vehicles seemed excessive.
The objectors claimed that evidence must be given of actual emergencies, actual earnings and actual amounts involved, and Mr. Quin then agreed that precise information would be necessary before any quantum could be fixed and so adjourned the case for the lodging of this information.
