THE forthcoming establishment of a Leyland . Light Commercial Division at the Standard-Triumph factories in Coventry was announced yesterday b■ the Leyland Motor Corporation. This new organization will he responsible for the marketing in the U.K. of all commercial vehicles made by StandardTriumph under the Leyland trade mark and which at present include the van and pick-up versions of the Standard 15 and 20 which now become the Leyland 15 and Leyland 20: also included is the Lc land 2-tonner introduced last year.

Mr. Stanley Markland, StandardTriumph managing director and a director of the Leyland Motor Corporation, said this week: "The formation of this new division is a mark of our determination to Obtain a much larger share of the ever-growing light commercial vehicle market."

An entirely separate distribution network of selected Standard-Triumph and Leyland distributors has been set. up in the U.K. to hold. the new franchise for Leyland light commercial vehicles.
