this week transporting the first shipment of United States Government army vehicles from Bristol Docks to Henlys Ltd.. Weston-super-Mare. The vehicles. which were shipped from Antwerp, will he reconditioned by Henlâ– ..s under a U.S.A. government contract for use in underdeveloped countries. The equipment ranged from Jeeps. air compressors mounted on eight-wheeled transporters to 15-ton trench-diggers.
The contract to transport the vehicles by road to Weston was awarded to J. and H. Transport Services (Peckham) Ltd., of London.
