Northumberland haulier Vince Allen had the ECU in his 54-plate Scania R Series 420 Topline remapped by Energy Tuning and is delighted with the results.
“Most of the loads I haul are light in weight and I used to be getting 8.1mpg,” he reports. “Now I’m getting more like 9.1mpg to 9.3mpg and both the power and the torque are up too.
“I run half-a-dozen trucks and the Scania is the first one I’ve had this done to. It has caused no major side effects, so I might have a Volvo done next.”
