Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A court has heard that drivers working at Eddie Stobart's depot in Woolfox, Leicestershire were given work which they could not legally complete within the time allowed by the drivers' hours regulations.

The claim was made at the trial of Reginald Motley, who allegedly ran the depot.

When the trial opened at Knutsford Crown Court this week Motley, of Great Gonerby, Lincs, pleaded not guilty to nine counts of aiding and abetting drivers to falsify tachograph charts, and to one count of falsifying a chart, Derek Halbert, prosecuting, said Motley had acted in a supervisory capacity and had participated in a system that in effect forced drivers to falsify tachograph charts.

The case continues.
