Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Continental has launched a range of 17.51n tyres for light trucks. Aimed specifically at the 7.5-tonne market, the tyres weigh up to 5kg less than their predecessors, saving around 30kg on a 4x2 chassis. Continental is also claiming up to 25% longer service life with 50% less noise.

Steer and drive axle patterns are available; the 1545 for steer axles and 1D75.for drive axles. They will be available in 205/75, 215/75, 225/75, 235/75 and 245/75 sizes. Continental claims that its casing construction allows a wider, flatter tread pattern than in other low-profile tyres.

The design is based on Continental's 22.5in truck racing tyres, developed to give low weight, rugged construction and cool running. Continental argues that these properties are just as important in tough urban conditions.

The LS45 steer-axle tyres feature deep longitudinal grooves for effective water clearance; the LD75 drive axle tyre uses heavily siped tread blacks for allweather traction. 1D75 tread depth is increased by 25%— both tyres are designed for regrooving and remoulding.
