• Crompton Electricars Ltd has acquired from L and P Engineering Co, of Exeter, the sole manufacturing rights of Manulectric pedestrian-controlled electric vehicles. These will in future be built at Crompton Electricars' Tredegar, Mon, works. The Manulectric range of vehicles is suitable for municipal, hospital, commercial and industrial users.
