Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

1AARKET1NG of Universal transport IV I containers is to be undertaken by Highways Trailers (Great Britain), Ltd. Initial supplies are scheduled for delivery early in 1962.

These containers are only 7 ft. wide by 8 ft. 6 in, long and three may be carried on most semi-trailers and two on most platform lorries. Two of the containers can be carried on one standard British Railways open wagon.

Each container weighs 15 cwt. and has a maximum carrying capacity of 4+ tons, with an interior volume of 348 Cuft. The construction is of welded pressed steel with a high tensile steel underframe. Fork lift access is provided from all four sides and lifting eyes are fitted at each corner of the roof. Loaded containers can be stacked two high and empties seven high.

Future developments will be the introduction of a light alloy model 18 ft. long inside with a capacity of 12 tons for crossChannel transport.

Also said to be coming into production shortly is a range of collapsible containers with glass-fibre top and bottom end pieces and plasticized fabric walls. These are to be offered in three sizes; having nominal capacities of 200, 325 and 400 gal. Each will be 4 ft. in diameter with varying lengths up to 7 ft. and all will collapse to 13 in. high.

All types of flowable commodities may be carried and disposable liners can be fitted so that a container may carry, say, paint outward and fruit on its return.
