Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE delivery of a piano to an address in Barclay, some three miles north of Buntingford, resulted in three men, trading as Piano Transport Service, at 56 Lambton Road, Upper Holloway, London, N.1, being summoned at North London magistrates court on Monday for failing to comply with the conditions of a B licence by carrying goods otherwise than within 25 miles of Crouch Hill Railway Station. The three were: Frederick John Jones. Douglas Williams and James Hughes, all of 56 Lambton Road. A solicitor entered a plea of guilty on behalf of the defendants, only one of whom was present in court.

Miss Suzanne Norwood, prosecuting for the Metropolitan Licensing Authority, said the defendants all traded as partners. There was apparently so much business transporting pianos that the three defendants had been able to apply for and get a B licence for one vehicle.

For the defendants, it was said that the position was that, having contracted to carry the piano, they got within a few miles of their destination and then discovered it was outside the area. They could not dump the piano, so they did what most people would have done— made the delivery.

"1 cannot regard this as a very grave matter," said the magistrate. granting each defendant art absolute discharge on payment of two guineas costs. He also granted each an absolute discharge on summonses for failing to keep a current record in respect of the journey.
