services have been running for some time past, there are few places outside the Metropolis where such services are in existence. If, however, the proposal of Mr. R. Stuart Filcher, the manager of the Edinburgh Corporation Tramways, is put into effect, as appears likely at the time we close for press, an allnight service of buses will run in Edinburgh during the winter months. Mr. Filcher believes that with many dance hails being strongly patronized in various parts of the city, there would be a sufficient number of passengers available to justify the institution of a limited service over routes in the central area. The tramways committee has recommended the adoption of the proposal.
