Hard-pressed Brits might assume that German drivers are coining it — but it seems not, A German agency has released sample figures that illustrate the problem. One experienced driver, aged 47, who has been in the business for 15 years, is taking home an annual salary of €29,400 (223,305), but an inexperienced 28-year-old youngster is taking home a mere €14,400 (£11,411).
No wonder young people are being driven away from the profession in Germany, as they are in the UK.
