Transport Council
EU Transport Council ministers have agreed to tighten the professional competence requirements and to increase the minimum financial threshold (CM 24-30April).
It is also proposed that the Directive for these measures will allow EU countries to impose additional tests on lorry drivers who are resident in one country but qualified in another. They could be required to examine skills relevant to local conditions.
