Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Shefford, Hatfield-based machine-tool haulier J Parrish's latest 3+3 artic rig combines an ERF Ecn. 6x2 with Nene Trailer's new Tridec steer axle low-loader trailer.

The tractive unit is powered by a 405hp Cummins Mul engine and has an air-conditioned Olympic sleeper cab for extra comfort on long hauls.

Parrish's Nene trailer is 12.62m long and runs on 235/75R 17.5s to keep the 6.7mlong main deck down to 888mm. The neck section is 4.2m long and couples to the unit at 1.32m.

Nene re-installed Parrish's existing 40tonne/metre

Italianmade Heila crane on to the 1.71m rear section, and reinforced it to accept an even bigger crane at a later stage. To

offset the extra weight Parrish has added a full set of Alcoa aluminium wheels.

The trailer's Triclec hydraulic steering controls are matched to the SAF axles and air suspension together with infra-red remote controls.

This is a useful option as most of Parrish's work involves accessing awkward factory entrances to remove or deliver equipment such as lathes and milling machines.

0 Hallett Silbermann, also of Hatfield, has added two Volvo FH12 380hp (279k1A) 6x2 pusher axle artics and a 6x4 T-ride attic units to its 50-strong fleet.

All the new acquisitions have double sleeper cabs; the 6x4 also comes with a Bonfiglioli 40t/m crane to self-load plant and machinery items.
