• Powys-based hauliers face extra costs if the local council bans the use of HMIs on the popular B4358.
The Freight Transport Association division responsible for MidWales warns that the proposed 7.5-tonne limit on the road between Beulah and Newbridge-on-Wye will force trucks to go through the town of Builth Wells.

Clark warns that the move will also cause environmental problems in the town which will become "choked".
The FTA plans to object to the ban which, it says, results from pressure on the council by residents along the road.
