FOLLOWING the recent test Grafatix (see CM Equipment News, July 31) London Transport offered us a one-lit can of their own Graffiti Removal Cream. Unlike the aerosol, it is applied by a clot brush, and should be left for minute before being washed While working well on non. porous surfaces such as aluminium and Formica, the chemical cleaner gave off strc fumes which our testers at Ensign Bus found unpleasant Although superior to Grafit it still removed the top layer from freshly painted surfaces along with the graffiti. On rea heavy applications of felt tip, lot of cream was needed befc it was completely removed. One-litre tins of LT Graffiti Removal Cream, cost £6.50, a can be obtained from Londor Transport Scientific Laboratories, 556 Chiswick H Road, London, W4.
